Dr. Oscar Florendo, Jr. is Currently Accepting New Patients at
Bethany Medical’s South Main Location in High Point/Archdale
HIGH POINT, N.C. — Oscar Florendo Jr., M.D., a board-certified physician specializing in internal medicine, joined Bethany Medical at the end of 2021. He is now anchoring the primary care team at Bethany’s newest location in the High Point/Archdale area.
Dr. Florendo completed his internal medicine residency and geriatric medicine fellowship at St. Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri. He then spent more than 20 years in practice, much of it private, in the Midwest. His specialty then was in internal medicine and geriatric care.
“I am very excited to be here. I look forward to serving the community. The people are very nice and friendly,” he said. He attributed the kinds he has encountered to that “Southern Hospitality” one hears so much about in other parts of the country.
He also said he has found Bethany Medical to be a great organization because it cares as much about its providers and staff as it does about its patients and the community.
Dr. Florendo’s primary focus is on preventative care, and he treats patients with chronic diseases as well. “My goal is to care for patients to prevent illness; preventative care is what I strive for,” he said. “Now, if a patient has a chronic illness, I am very adept at helping with those issues too.”
