Over the last two weeks, the demand for COVID-19 testing services has tripled at Bethany Medical testing sites. With the recent appearance of the Omicron variant, the need for testing has escalated across the nation. Bethany Medical has continued to press on and handle the high patient volume at all 15 Piedmont Triad locations.
Elise Peters Carey, President of Bethany Medical explains that “the surge in requests for COVID testing has been seen across all Bethany locations. Our front-line healthcare team members continue to work hard to meet the high demand. Our goal is to always provide easy access and best experience to our patients. Early in the pandemic, Bethany made a large commitment to bring Saliva PCR testing to the Triad and still remains one of the only facilities to offer this service with a 24-48 turnaround. Consequently, we were able to perform nearly 16,000 PCR tests this past year, and an equivalent number of rapid antigen and antibody tests.”
Both the 15-minute rapid COVID-19 antigen screening test and the 24-48 hour PCR saliva test, can be done at any of our locations across the Triad.
