John Coltrane Jazz Festival 2026

HIGH POINT, NC – For the third year in a row, Bethany Medical and the Lenny Peters Foundation have sponsored the John Coltrane Jazz Festival 2026. The event was open from September 5 through September 6 at Oak Hollow Festival Park.
This festival celebrates the legacy of John Coltrane, a North Carolina native, jazz saxophonist, bandleader, and composer. There was a mix of jazz genres, blues, and Latin Jazz music played at this two-day lakeside event.
“Bethany Medical’s continued support helps make it possible for High Point to host an event that combines culture, community, and economic impact that brings visitors into the destination while supporting the local hospitality economy,” says Visit High Point President Melody Burnett.
Bethany Medical and the Lenny Peters Foundation plan to continue to support events with economic impact and community engagement to the city. This year, the event brought 3,500 visitors from 11 different states.
The event provided the surrounding city an estimated $700,000 in economic impact through hotel and restaurant bookings, vendor sales and transportation services.
